Highland Park (April 8th, 2016) On Saturday, April 8th The Hive Los Angeles’ Apiary Gallery will host a release party for Compound Butter Magazine’s newest issue “Girl’s Club” at  5760 York Blvd. The work of Oriana Koren, Maggie Chiang, Bijou Karman, Phoebe McMahon, Juliette Toma, and Allison Bamcat, past and current CB contributors, will be on display during and after the party. Doors open at 8pm.

The Girl’s Club Issue is a celebration and exploration of the lives and presence of women. This issue includes features and interviews from women and female individuals working in a variety of industries as well as pieces exploring the triumphs and tragedies of women in our modern era, explorations of feminine identity, and more.

Apiary Gallery is the event space at The Hive Los Angeles hair salon, both which opened in 2008. Since then Apiary has hosted quarterly art openings, music events, and other private events at its Silver Lake location and more recently at its second location in Highland Park. The space prides itself in working with the community and local artists to share their talents in a variety of mediums.
